It's hard to stop an addiction

Wide Awake and Heartbroken

I'm wide awake
I hope you realize you made a mistake
I'm afraid to sleep
I'm scared my dreams will be too deep
These feelings are confusing
I don't know which path i should be choosing
I'm inhaling pain through out me
And exhaling everything that made me so happy
I can't pretend things are fine
When I want you to be mine
My eyes hurt from crying
I don't feel you trying
Nothing is the same
But were both to blame
My heart is black and blue
Am i stupid for still wanting you
In every poem that i write
It's about my constant fight
To be with you
And hope that you want to be with me too
Feels like iv'e been stabbed by a knife
I want you in my life
My emotions won't be shown

My Road

Each one of us has a road that we create
Unique in our own ways, no two roads can relate
Although I have many intersections it’s like a kiss in the rain
Lasts only for a couple seconds and then it ends in the drain
Just this once I was hoping for another road to connect
a highway that was nothing less than perfect
Now my road is broken and full of turns
But there are no concerns
There are signs of construction
Mending the destruction

To make a relationship it takes more than one
